KOSE- Softymo Speedy Cleansing Foam Review

Hello everyone!

How are your New Years Resolutions coming along? I didn't really make any, since I knew I would break them almost immediately. I did tell myself I would try waking up and going to sleep earlier. I have failed. But I am keeping up with writing down everything I need to do for the day or the next day. It helps me stay organized.

Anyway, I'm reviewing a cleanser today. I haven't found one that I've liked enough to stick with. But so far with this one, I like it enough that I may repurchase after it's finished.
I usually use a gentle cleanser for the morning and a gentle exfoliating facial cleanser for the evening.

I really enjoy using Japanese skincare products. Kose is quite popular in Japan and Softymo is quite affordable.
Back in High School I used their oil based cleanser, which I didn't like at the time, but I am looking to repurchase in the future.

Let's take a closer look!

Mint Julips Lip Scrub Review from Lush Cosmetics

Aaand I'm back! I'm typing this post whilst at work! Shhh... I have some down time right now, so at least I'm staying busy!

Sticking to the lip review theme from before, I finally bought the famous Lush lip scrub!
For those of you not familiar with Lush, they're a company that makes products completely by hand, and using/buying ingredients that "do not conduct or commission tests on animals and testing products on humans".
They also only use vegetarian products and some of them, including the lip scrub is gluten free!

Previously, I had only ever tried their bath products. Bath bombs are good, but I especially love The Comforter bubble bar. SO MANY BUBBLES!! I'll have to purchase it again sometime-and you should try it too!

I know what some of you may be thinking, 'sugar scrub? Could have just made one at home!' Yes, that is true. I definitely could have. Considering how I've only used this a handful of times, I should have made one myself. But I can't make my lip scrub smell as good!
At the time when I was in the store, I was planning on buying bubble gum. A friend of mine recommended that one to me.  But in the end, mint chocolate smelt the most appealing.

So let's see if it was worth the purchase!

Avene: Eau Thermale: Thermal Spring Water

I've become a little obsessed with facial sprays/mists these past few months. This is only my second purchase, but I have my eye on a few from Sephora and one from Laneige.

When I was at my local drugstore, I decided to pick up a facial spray from Avene.

I went with the 50ml travel size first, since I wasn't sure how I would like it.

Beyond - Cream Puff - Rice Milk Foam Cleanser review

I had never heard of Beyond, which is a Korean skincare company until I saw the products being sold. The brand was established in 2005, so it is relatively new and somewhat unknown.
In Korea, the brand is just referred to as "Beyond". But in North America, it is, "Beyond Fruits & Passion", Fruits & Passion was the store I purchased it from. Though it has since closed down and The Face Shop opened in its place. (no complaints there!)

But since I always have my eye out for Korean skincare/cosmetics, I opted to try this out. I have cleansers already, but really, more the merrier... right?

I went with the Rice Milk Foam cleanser as it advertised in big letters, "Rice smoothes and relaxes your stressed skin"
As a student, anything that claims to relax stressed skin is something I want! Get it on my face!! De-stress me please!

Let's see if it actually does what it claims

Korean Skincare Haul!

I recently made a handful of purchases online and had to wait about a month for all the items to come in before posting about them.

I've begun to expand my skincare purchases over to Korea, a number of friends have been recommending a few different brands to me, and also because a few items I have been using from The Body Shop etc have not been sitting well with me.

I don't wear a lot of makeup anymore. At most I put on some lipstick. I'm starting to lean towards taking care of my skin with proper skincare products as much as possible so I won't need concealer etc. It won't be perfect, I know, but even with makeup I prefer the natural look to begin with. And so far I've noticed my skin is looking really good. My skin is hydrated and has a nice glow even. The bags under my eyes aren't as profound, and I like to think the products I've been using have been helping.

So onto my purchase:

From left to right:
1. Missha super aqua toner for troubled skin
- it's supposed to help with redness and pore prevention. I have not used this yet, as I am finishing up my aloe calming toner from The Body Shop
2. Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever
- this is more like a primer you put on before you apply foundation, but I am using this as the last step after my moisturizer. Less pores are always good, right?
3. Skin79 New Therapy Serum trio
- I cannot wait to use up the serum I'm using now, so I can try these three. I got these for such a great price and I've heard good things about them too. They recommend layering and using all three together.
4. Skin79 The Oriental Lifting Eye Controller
- I've already incorporated this eye serum into my skincare regime, so a review will come soon.

Have you tried any of these? What's your favourite Asian beauty product?

Asian Beauty Haul!

Finally! Look what came in the mail! Took a little over 2 weeks, which isn't too bad, since it is shipped out from Asia.

My friend and I were browsing yesstyle.ca and we found a few beauty products we wanted. Yesstyle currently has a free shipping promotion going on. I recommend checking them out. They also have tony moly makeup, all of it 20% off. They have a large selection, but I found the items I purchased from ebay, are cheaper than on this site. Only certain products though. The reason we ordered the products we did, was because they are more expensive on ebay.

The two things I bought:
1. My Beauty Diary facial masks (we are actually sharing. So we get 5 of each mask. One box: $15 CAD for 10 pcs
2. Kao essentials hair masks - I cannot WAIT to try this! I tried the other one many years ago, shea honey mask I believe and I loved it! This one is supposed to give me more volume. $12 CAD. Ebay sells for $20 or so

My friends purchases:
1. Another beauty mask
2. Missha bb cream. No. 23. She's tried samples in stores and she really likes it. She had been waiting for it to go on sale, but then saw that yesstyle was selling it for a really good price! I would like to try missha bb creams also, but No. 23 is a little too light for me. Not to mention, I get lazy with applying bb creams or liquid foundations.

Future reviews to come!

Have you tried any of these products before? Thoughts?

The Body Shop - Drops of Youth Review

I have been pretty busy these past couple of weeks. I have a list of products I have been meaning to write reviews for. Or even some of my hauls. School will be starting in a few days for me again, and I will try my best to post as often.

Anyway, I have been meaning to review this product, and you may know from the post below, I purchased a few body shop products a couple weeks back.
Since I've been using drops of youth serum for a while now, I can finally write a proper review for it.
