By Wishtrend's Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review

There are times when I'm really diligent with my skincare and I have multiple steps. Though a lot of the times, I get lazy and my routine is very basic and I use the bare essentials. So during my lazy times, I enjoy using products that pull double duty.

Let me introduce to you By Wishtrend's new prepping water with Mandelic Acid.

This is a new product that was recently released By Wishtrend. Lazy skincare people rejoice! This is a hydrating and nonirritating exfoliant which is suitable for all skin types.

So is this a product worth trying?

Taken from the Wishtrend website:
Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is a hydrating and nonirritating exfoliant that can be used daily. Formulated with Mandelic Acid which can be used without irritation even on sensitive skin, the Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water is an exfoliating treatment that improves the skin tone and texture while boosting the effectiveness of other products
First off, I know what your first question will be. What's Mandelic Acid? After doing a brief search, it is a popular anti-aging ingredient. It helps remove dead skin on the surface to get rid of dull complexion along with smoothing out any fine lines. Mandelic Acid also supposedly helps even out the skin tone.

Packaging

Nothing much to be said about the packaging. By Wishtrend sticks to simple packaging. Doesn't matter to me as long as it works!

Though I did find that product dries and builds up on the top where the to cap screws on. Clean it off every once in a while, because I noticed some product buildup and would flake off when I'm pouring some onto my palm.

Product

I've been using this consistently (part of my morning routine) for the past couple of weeks, and I'm really enjoying it.

Even though Wishtrend recommends to use this with a cotton pad, I treat it more as a toner/essence. I just pat the product onto my skin. It absorbs into my skin easily, doesn't leave if feeling tacky and it does a pretty good job in hydrating my skin as well.

It's also recommended to use this during your morning routine. I found this out the hard way. I have a habit of... not really reading things until after the fact. So the first night, I used it right after the shower. Burned a bit. Then read on the Wishtrend site it should be used in the morning. Ha.... oops.

It took about a week and a half for me to start noticing the benefits. My skin was a lot softer, smoother and it looked brighter as well. I would say I noticed softer skin more so than brighter skin. As this is a gentle exfoliator, it's good for daily use and I don't have to worry about it being too harsh for my skin.

I also find it to be decently moisturizing as well. It may not be as moisturizing as other toners/essences, but I don't have to worry about it stripping my skin of any moisture right after. My skin doesn't feel overly dry or pulled, so I can take my time in layering my skincare.

Overall thoughts

The longer I use this prepping water, the more I like it. I forgot to mention that it's also non-scented. You know how I like my non-scented products.

While I still have to deal with hyper pigmentation (I don't think the prepping water helped with that at all), my skin still feels great. My skin feels so incredible smooth, I love it!

I would definitely consider purchasing this once it is used up. It'll be a while until that happens (since I only use it in the morning) but this is for sure worth a try.

This product is available on Wishtrend for $22 USD.
